Coach Lee Jung-hyo of Gwangju FC, who won the K-League 2 championship last year and was promoted, drew attention by wearing a uniform upside down.
Director Lee Jung-hyo attended the ‘Hana One Q K League 2023 Opening Media Day’ held at The-K Hotel Seoul in Yangjae-dong, Seocho-gu, Seoul on the afternoon of the 20th.
Excluding the players, coaches from 11 teams attended in suits, and coach Lee Jeong-hyo appeared alone wearing his Gwangju uniform. Coach Lee Jeong-hyo, who expressed his ambition to push the color of Gwangju this season, also explained the reason for wearing the uniform. 메이저놀이터
Coach Lee said, “Lee-Euteum prepared well for this season, but he suffered a major injury a week ago.”
Lee Eutteum is a veteran defender who has been active in Gwangju since 2015. Excluding the time he played for the Asan Mugunghwa Police Agency in the 2017 season for his military service, it can be said that he is a ‘one club man’ in Gwangju. He has played 161 K-League games so far, and Lee is recording 7 goals and 30 assists.
Last year, Lee Eutteum, who worked with coach Lee Jung-hyo, led Gwangju’s promotion by making a big success, including being included in the round’s MVP and Best 11. Ahead of his return to K-League 1, Eutteum Lee, who suffered a collarbone fracture during a practice game on the 14th, is said to be recovering after being on the operating table.
On the other hand, on this day, coach Lee showed his unique boldness, saying, “We also had a hard time (promoting). Our goal is not to stay. We will meet Suwon Samsung in the opening match and then we will show our football.”
Gwangju, led by coach Lee Jung-hyo, will play the 2023 K-League 1 opening game at Suwon World Cup Stadium at 4:30 pm on the 25th (Sat).
