Pitching coach Hanwha Rosado joins WBC Puerto Rico as coach for 3 consecutive tournaments

 Reporter Moon Dae-hyun = Hanwha pitching coach Jose Rosado (49) joined the Puerto Rico baseball team as a coach to participate in the 2023 World Baseball Classic (WBC).

The Puerto Rico Baseball Federation (FBRP) announced that it had recently appointed Coach Rosado as the bullpen coach for the WBC national team. 메이저사이트

Coach Rosado, who participated as the coach of the Puerto Rico national team in the WBC held in 2013 and 2017 and contributed to two consecutive runner-ups, joined the coaching staff for the third consecutive tournament.

Coach Rosado is a person who had a brilliant career in the American Major League (MLB) from 1996 to 2000. He went 37-45 with 1 save and a 4.27 earned run average in 125 career games, and was also selected as an All-Star on two occasions.

Coach Rosado, who retired early due to injury, has served as a minor league coach for the New York Yankees since 2011 and has been wearing a Hanwha uniform since 2021.

“Rosado’s experience is indispensable to us,” Puerto Rico national team general manager Joey Sola said.

Coach Rosado said, “I am grateful to God and the federation for making me a member of the WBC national team for three consecutive tournaments. The impression and wonderful memories of 2017 cannot be expressed in words. I will challenge with great passion.”
