Prestigious Stanford students co-leader of the Dubai Desert Classic

Amateur Michael Tobyjorson (USA), who is currently studying at the prestigious Stanford University, became a hot topic after co-leading the DP World Tour Hero Dubai Desert Classic (total prize money of 9 million dollars).

In the second round of the tournament held at Emirates Golf Club (par 72) in Dubai, UAE on the 28th (Korean time), Toby Jorson shot 8-under-par 64 for a median total of 10-under-par 134, beating Thomas Peters (Belgium) and Richard Brand ( England) tied for the lead. 토토사이트

Tobijorson, who started from the 10th hole, reduced 7 strokes with 1 eagle and 5 birdies in the first half. He caught the first birdie on hole 10 (par 5), then made four consecutive birdies on holes 12 to 15, and caught an eagle with a 36-yard chip shot on hole 18 (par 5). However, in the second half, he only reduced one stroke with two birdies and one bogey.

After the match, Tobjorson said, “My goal for the remaining rounds is to win. But I will focus on the process rather than the result.” So far, there have been a total of four amateur championships on the DP World Tour, including Danny Lee (New Zealand) of the Johnnie Walker Classic in 2009. If Toby Jorson wins this competition, he becomes the 5th main character.

21-year-old Tobjorson is number two in the amateur world rankings. He is in his senior year at Stanford University and is a promising prospect who tied for fourth at last year’s PGA Tour Travelers Championship. 1 in the amateur world ranking is Ludvig Arberg (Sweden), who is also participating in this tournament. Arberg is tied for 22nd with an interim total of 6 under par.

World No. 1 Rory McIlroy (Northern Ireland) reduced 2 strokes with 1 eagle, 1 birdie and 1 bogey, and tied for 7th place with Patrick Reed (USA) with a median total of 8 under par 136 strokes. With only two strokes behind the leading group, there is ample chance of a comeback in the remaining rounds 3 and 4.

Lee Min-woo (Australia), who tied for runner-up at the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship last week, shot 7 under par with 8 birdies and 1 bogey, moving up to 22nd with a median total of 6 under par and 130 strokes. Wang Jeong-hun, the only Korean player to participate, was only able to reduce one stroke and tied for 30th place with Victor Perez (France), the winner last week, with an intermediate total of 5 under par and 131 strokes.
